Camerata ArtistsJoyce A. Ramée, violaJoyce A. Ramée, violist, is co-director and co-founder of the Max Aronoff Viola Institute, a natioinally recognized summer music festival held in Washington. Ms. Ramée received her degree from the Curtis Institute of Music, Philadelphia, where she studied with Max Aronoff and Joseph dePasquale. While studying under a full fellowship at Tanglewood, Ms. Ramée performed under conductors including Leonard Bernstein, Seiji Ozawa and Kurt Masur. Currently a member of the Auburn Symphony and the Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra, Ms. Ramée regularly performs on chamber music series' and as concerto soloist with local orchestras. In 2007, she was selected by Temple University, Phladelphia, as the violist to represent Max Aronoff’s studio in chamber music performances at the centennial celebrations for the Curtis String Quartet.. Since 1987, Ms. Ramée taught at the University of Puget Sound. She lives in Tacoma with her three beloved cats. |
